Despite the continued success of the Garden Weasel as a maintenance tool for garden beds that have been cultivated, some Weasel users suggested that we offer a tool that did a better job of breaking up soil that had never been cultivated. Thus, the Garden Claw was born.

Garden Claw was designed to do the initial breaking up of ground that had never been cultivated, or that had remained uncultivated over multiple growing seasons. It can also double as a maintenance cultivator.

The CLAW name stands for:

Cultivates,
Loosens,
Aerates, and
Weeds.

And it can do this to any soil, even heavy clay.

And Garden Claw accomplishes these difficult tasks without having to lift the dirt, as one would have to do with a traditional shovel. With no bending or lifting, some customers reported fewer back problems as a result.

There are several benefits of good cultivation. Cultivated soil absorbs water, instead of water running off. Good cultivation also brings much needed air to the roots of plants.

Garden Claw users come in all shapes and sizes. And in an effort to accommodate them all, Garden Claw later introduced a Claw that adjusted 4" in height.
